I vinterferien var Berit og Baluba på skitur igjen, Baluba er veldig flink.

During the wintherholiday Berit and Baluba were out at ski again, and Baluba is very clever.

Søndag fikk Baluba gå to korte spor ved Gardermoen da vi gikk spor med de andre hundene. Det ene sporet la Berit, og det var en blanding av blod og godbiter med rådyrfot i enden. Det andre sporet var det Rune som la, det var bare godbiter med rådyrfot i enden. Baluba hadde gått litt blodspor før hun kom til Berit og Rune. Det ble litt hopp og sprett, men hun fant frem. Tror nok sporene hennes med fordel kan ligge litt lenger.

Sunday Baluba did two short tracks when we were nearby Oslo Airport Gardermoen and did tracks with the other dogs. One of the track was laid by Berit, it was a mix of blood and foodbites with a deerfoot at the end. The other track was laid by Rune, it was only foodbites and a deerfoot at the end. Baluba had done a few bloodtracks before she came to Berit and Rune. It was a bit jumping in periods, but she found the ends. Next time I guess the tracks can lie a bit longer.

Et par nye bilder av Baluba, som trives veldig godt i sin nye flokk. Der går alt bare bedre og bedre hele tiden. Berit er veldig flink til å jobbe med henne, og alt har ikke bare vært enkelt.

A couple of new pictures of Baluba, who enjoys herself in her new flock. Everything is going better and better all the time. Berit is working very good with her, and it hasn't been easy all the time.

Baluba har funnet seg vel til rette hos Berit, Rune og Chivas nå, og det varmer mitt hjerte å høre at det går så bra. På disse bildene ser dere Baluba med en ball hun har funnet ute og som hun må ha i munnen absolutt hele tiden, uansett hva man måtte ha av gjøremål.

Now Baluba has found her place together with Berit, Rune and Chivas, and I'm so happy to hear that everything is fine. At these pictures you can see Baluba with a ball she found outside, and she has it in the mouth all the time, it doesn't matter what she has to do.

Lørdag var vi en hel gjeng som gikk tur i skogen ved der Kenneth & Co bor. De som var med var: Berit, Rune, Hanne, Chivas, Baluba, Kenneth, Gry, Tuva, Bailo, Bebe, Siane, Alfi, Ambra og meg. Litt av en gjeng. Hundene gikk løse og hadde det deilig på tur. Berit kunne ha Baluba løs uten at hun stakk av, helt supert. Søndag var Berit og familien på tur alene med Baluba og Chivas.

Saturday we were a whole gang walking in the wood nearby where Kenneth & Co live. They who were there were: Berit, Rune, Hanne, Chivas, Baluba, Kenneth, Gry, Tuva, Bailo, Bebe, Siane, Alfi, Ambra and me. What a gang. The dogs were loose and had a great time at the trip. Berit could have Baluba loose without going away from her, quite superb. Sunday Berit and the family were out in the wood alone together with Baluba and Chivas.

Tirsdag denne uken fikk jeg en telefon fra Heidi der hun fortalte meg at det beste nok ville være om Baluba fikk seg et nytt hjem. Hun og goldentispa Olga går veldig dårlig sammen, og dette går først og fremst utover Baluba. For et halvt år siden var det også problemer, men den gangen var det Baluba som ikke ville underkaste seg, nå gjør hun det. De aller fleste vet at to tisper som ikke går sammen og sloss, ikke er noe å spøke med. Det er liten sansynlighet for at de noen gang vil bli venner. Heidi og jeg ble enige om at jeg skulle prøve å finne et nytt hjem til Baluba, og den første jeg ville prøve er en dame som heter Berit og som bor på Skedsmokorset ca 20 min. bilkjøring herfra. Hun sto på valpeliste hos oss, men fikk dessverre ikke valp. Jeg snakket med henne på tlf tirsdag kveld, og det hørtes veldig optimistisk ut, men hun ville gjerne sove på det.  Jeg hadde ingen problemer med å forstå det.

Onsdag morgen fikk jeg telefonen jeg håpet på, at det var enstemmig der hjemme om å overta Baluba. Jeg ble utrolig glad for den beskjeden, og vi ble enige om å dra langfredag for å hente henne. Det er en tung beslutning Heidi har tatt, og den er til det beste for Baluba. Jeg er veldig takknemlig for at jeg fikk lov til å finne en ny eier i stedet for at hun skulle selges til hvem som helst. Vi ble enige om å møtes i Åndalsnes, da ble vi spart for 4 timers kjøring.

Våknet fredag morgen til en masse nysnø, og gledet meg ikke spesielt mye til den lange bilturen. Plukket opp Berit på Skedsmokorset, og underveis ble været bare bedre og bedre. Over fjellet ved Lesja og Bjorli var det fantastisk vakkert med sol, blå himmel og flotte fjell.

Det var tungt for Heidi, men hun visste dette var det eneste rette for Baluba i samråd med meg og flere andre. Jeg hadde med meg Alfi og Ambra som selskap for henne i bilen, de to delte bur og hun fikk et alene. Det tok ikke lange tiden før hun sovnet, og hun sov godt hele veien hjem. Vi kjørte tilsammen ca 100 mil den dagen, men hadde det veldig hyggelig i bilen, og tiden gikk veldig fort. Været hjem var veldig bra og veiene var heldigvis tørre.

Baluba skal dele hus med golden retrieverhannen Chivas som er seks år og vant til å være alenehund. I går ble det flere SMS mellom Berit og meg, og idag fikk jeg en ordentlig rapport pr tlf. Den går ut på at det er forandringer i positiv retning time for time. Det er ikke bare en overgang for Baluba som har flyttet, men også for Chivas som har vært vant til å ha mor helt for seg selv i seks år. Foreløpig ser fremtiden veldig lys ut for Baluba, og jeg ønsker dere lykke til med henne!!!

Tuesday this week I got a phone call from Heidi where she told me that it would be best if Baluba got a new home. She and the golden retrieverfemale Olga are not good friends, and it is Baluba who is effected of that. Half a year ago it also was problems, but then it was Baluba who didn't show that she was the youngest, now she does. Very many know that two females who doesn't like eachother is very difficult. It is a small probability that they ever will be friends. Heidi and I was agree that I should try to find a new home for Baluba, and the first one I wanted to try was Berit who lives at Skedsmokorset, about 20 minutes drive from us. She was at our puppylist, but unfortunately she didn't get any of the pups at that time. I spoke to her at the phone tuesday evening, and it seemed very optimistic, but she wanted to have the night to think. I didn't have any problems to understand that.

Wednesday morning I got the phone call I had hoped for, it was a unanimous decision that they wanted to have Baluba. I was extremely happy for that message, and we were agree to drive Good Friday to get her. It is a onerous decision Heidi has taken and it is to the best for Baluba. I'm very grateful that I was given the permission to find a new owner, that is much better that if she should be sold to anybody.  We were agree to meet in Åndalsnes, it is four hours less for us to drive.

I woke up friday morning to a lot of snow, and didn't look forward to the long drive. Picked Berit up at Skedsmokorset, and the weather was better and better. Over the mountain by Lesja and Bjorli it was beautiful with sun, blue sky and great mountains around. It was onerous for Heidi, but she knew this was the only right thing for Baluba in consultation with me and more others. I had brought with me Alfi and Ambra as company for her in the car. They two in one cage and Baluba in the other. It didn't take long time before she fall asleep, and she slept all the way home. We drove about 1000 km that day, but we had a nice time in the car, and the time past very fast. The weather home was very nice and the roads were dry.

Baluba will live together with the golden retriever male Chivas who is six years old and used to be the only one. Yesterday it was several SMS between Berit and me, and today I got a real report by phone. It says that it is changes in positiv direction hour for hour. It's not only a period of transition for Baluba who has moved, but also for Chivas who has lived together with mum alone for six years. At the moment the future looks very good for Baluba, and I wish you all the best with her!

Baluba var med på utstilling i Sunnmørshallen, Ålesund denne helgen, og det var veldig kjedelig. Like greit å sove litt. Den første uken prøvde hun å apportere både en Bischon Frise og en hest, sistnevnte var nok litt i største laget, og heldigvis var den snill.

Baluba was taken to dog shows in Sunnmørshallen, Ålesund last weekend, and that was very boring. She didn't care about all the noise, so she thought it was better to sleep a bit. The first week she tried to apport a Bischon Frise and a horse, the last one was a bit big, and fortunately it was kind.
